How to read a SIP scenario
A SIP is a schedule of contributions, not a security or a fixed-return product. This calculator compounds hypothetical contributions using a constant assumed annual rate converted to a monthly rate, with optional annual contribution increases.
The displayed rates are arbitrary examples. They are not forecasts for fixed deposits, mutual funds, shares or any named product. Actual returns fluctuate and may be negative; a regular contribution schedule does not protect capital or assure a profit.
Inflation adjustment expresses the hypothetical ending amount in today's purchasing power. Fees and individual taxes are not modelled. Tax treatment, exit loads, lock-ins and redemption conditions depend on the underlying product. Stopping future instalments and redeeming existing units are separate actions.
Neither a projected balance nor an assumed rate establishes that an investment or contribution amount is suitable for you.
